Our services also include long distance moves, professional packing and storage solutions. These services can be customized to meet any budget and your Relocation Consultant will help you choose which solution works best for your move. Packing - We understand the least favorite part, and sometimes the most stressful part, of moving for our customers is the packing! The time, effort and confusion can be easily and quickly eliminated by Frontier Van Lines. In most cases, we are able to pack your home or office in one day or less. Our movers are professionally trained to handle art, antiques, designer furniture and pianos. For more information on our state of the art packing services, please click here. Storage is available for your belongings in our warehouse, if needed. It is scalable to fit your needs - from overnight to years and anywhere in between. It is important to Frontier Van Lines that you understand what you are paying for before your move. In a standard local move, the charges can be broken down into 5 different components as follows: Labor – The labor is the price you are paying for the movers to physically move your items. The time begins when the movers arrive at your current location and continues until the delivery is completed at your new location. The labor rate is charged on an hourly basis. The hourly rates are dependent on the number of professional movers and the number of trucks your move requires. Frontier Van Lines charges in increments of 15 minutes. For example, if your move starts at 8:00 am and it ends at 12:10 pm, you are charged for 4 hours and 15 minutes instead of 5 hours. Your Relocation Consultant will work with you to determine the size of a crew you need, an approximate time it will take to complete your move and our minimum charges. Services included in the labor rate are as follows:  Free use of moving pads. Disassembly of your beds and furniture Loading and carefully securing your belongings onto the truck. Unloading and placing your items where you desire in your new home. Reassembly of your beds and furniture that were disassembled at pickup. Free basic valuation for your belongings of 60 cents per pound.Travel Time – The travel time is the time it takes our movers to reach your pick up address from the warehouse and the time it takes to return to the warehouse after the move is completed. The travel time is calculated at the end of the move and is documented on your paperwork. This is a standard moving charge. Packing Materials – All of our professional movers are also professional packers. The foreman assigned to your move is responsible to ensure proper packing for all items. In order to safely transport your fragile items that require professional packing, the foreman will review those charges with you. Please understand that if you decline the professional packing and are unable to pack it yourself, Frontier Van Lines will not be able to transport that item. Click here for pricing on our packing materials. First time customers receive 4 FREE wardrobe boxes for use during the move. Each box can fit up to 40 hangers. The movers will bring these boxes the day of your move. Fuel Surcharge - The Commonwealth of PA requires all moving companies to collect a fuel surcharge for all local moves. This charge is a flat fee based on the distance between the pick up location and the delivery location for moves within Pennsylvania. Rates change monthly depending on the price of fuel. For moves between states, there is a different formula to calculate the fuel surcharge. Your Relocation Consultant will inform you what the fuel surcharge will be for your move. Tolls – Tolls are a chargeable item for local moves. Please note that not all moves require toll charges.   |
